With LR-Cal dry block temperature calibrators, a controllable temperature is produced within a metal block, with the aim of calibration thermometers by comparison of measured values (unit under test versus reference).
The drillings in the insert must be choosen suitable to the diameter of the units under tests (probes): outer diamter of the unit under test probe +0.5...1.0 mm = required diameter of the drilling in the metal dry block's insert.
A LR-Cal dry block temperature calibrator consists, at the very least, of a dry metal block with insert(s) with holes/minings/drillings and a calibrator thermometer (internal reference) with a display for determining the temperature inside the drillings in the metal block's insert.
The components mentioned above are combined as a compact instrument (portable models).
