The first products included pressure gauges, tension thermometers and automotive radiator testers.

The "LR" logo dates back to this founding period:

After LEITENBERGER Mess- und Regeltechnik GmbH had already moved to its own premises (new building) from Wannweil to Kirchentellinsfurt (Bahnhofstrasse 32) in 1985, the company now also moved into the new building for AUTOTESTGERÄTE Leitenberger GmbH and DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger GmbH on the opposite side of the street (Bahnhofstrasse 33).

Kirchentellinsfurt is located between Reutlingen and Tübingen in Baden-Württemberg, south of Stuttgart, Germany (Europe):

DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger GmbH took part in international trade fairs and exhibitions at an early stage in order to present its innovative product portfolio to a wide audience.

After the new electronic data processing (IT) had already found its way into the accounting department of the company group in 1987, DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger GmbH introduced EDP: from quotation and order entry to invoicing - with a self-programmed merchandise management system ("GeBro").

An IBM AT server with a Novell network system and terminals connected to it formed the basis at that time.

Only a short time later, production was also equipped with a production data acquisition system.

Subsequently, modern CAD systems were implemented in the design department.

The first and second floors of the company building at Bahnhofstr. 33 in Kirchentellinsfurt (Germany) were extensively extended after just a few years in order to accommodate the increased space requirements in development, production, storage and office space.

The management of DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger GmbH was handed over from co-founder Erich Coulon to his son Gernot Coulon.
Reinhold Leitenberger did the same with his son Achim Leitenberger.

(The third generation is meanwhile already working at the company).

The production, development and construction areas were increased by approx. 1,300 m² to a total of approx. 9,700 m² (new building, extension).

This year, an image video "Innovation through intuition" was produced.

From the very beginning, special attention was paid to reproducible quality in production. Here, for example, is a newly developed system for the automated adjustment of our digital pressure gauges.

The LEITENBERGER group of companies, including DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger, celebrates its 50th anniversary with around 160 employees.

We are proud: our company has now been in existence for 55 years.
