What is temperature calibration with calibration bath or metal block calibrator?
The test object (temperature measuring device of all types, e.g. dial thermometer, glass thermometer, resistance thermometer, thermocouple, temperature switch, thermostat, etc.) and the reference device (integrated in the temperature calibrator or external) are both subjected to test temperatures by means of heating resistors or Peltier elements. The measured values of the reference are compared with the values of the device under test. In this way, a statement can be made not only about the function of the test specimen but also about the measurement accuracy or the deviation of the measured value.
