Description
LR-Cal LFC 80 description
The LR-Cal LFC 80 is a very robust and compact device for checking and calibrating torque wrenches, screwdrivers and for other applications for the precise measurement of torques. The device records torques both clockwise (right-handed) and counterclockwise (left-handed).
The LR-Cal LFC 80 is powered by a built-in lithium-ion battery. An USB plug-in charger is included. When the battery is fully charged, the operating time until discharge is approximately 80 hours when the automatic power off function is activated. The LR-Cal LFC 80 display can be rotated 90° for easy reading even when set up vertically.
The unit is equipped with a USB 2.0 interface as standard. This can transmit 4,800 measured values per second in PEAK mode, thus with suitable software (interface protocol available in manual) e.g. a real-time curve can be displayed. It also has a programmable "First PEAK" function, which makes reproducible work much easier, even for inexperienced users. It is also possible to have PEAK values reset automatically after a programmable period of time.
In normal operating mode, the LR-Cal LFC 80 displays the currently recorded torque in real time (10 measurements per second) with high resolution. In PEAK mode (direction of rotation left AND right), the release torque of e.g. a torque wrench is precisely recorded. The measuring rate here is 4800 measurements per second, which means that release torques can be recorded very precisely.

Under “LR-Cal LFC 80: DOWNLOAD” at the top of this page you can download the free LR-Cal LDM-COM software (for Microsoft®Windows®). It offers you three operating modes:
- Calibration (calibration table):
Recording of the data measured during calibration of devices and storage in a data table. - Data recording
Automatic recording (logging) of measured values (with date and time stamp) at an adjustable time interval. - Read out memory: (only for LR-Cal LFC 80 devices with optional data logger function)

Clamping device LR-Cal LFC-ATCplus
The LR-Cal LFC-ATCplus clamping fixture is a device (for stable mounting on a workbench) with parallel guide and crank for accurate and reproducible movement of the test specimen (indicating or triggering torque wrench) for calibrations according to ISO 6789-1 and ISO 6789-2.
If the LR-Cal LFC-ATCplus fixture is operated with additional LR-Cal LFC 80 devices with further measuring ranges, a large measuring range span can be covered with one test stand. For each additional LR-Cal LFC 80 we recommend an additional base plate part no. LFC-ATC-PLUS-PLATTE to simplify and speed up the changeover considerably.
For example, to be able to cover a total range from 1 Nm to 1,000 Nm in accordance with the standards, you need a total of three LR-Cal LFC 80 devices, which are mounted alternately in the LR-Cal LFC-ATCplus clamping device:

Integrated real time clock
The recorded measured values can be displayed on the device or transferred to a PC/laptop via USB. A communication protocol for PC software is listed in the operating manual.
RS232 interface
Option (surcharge):If the distance between PC/laptop and LR-Cal LFC 80 is greater than 5 meters, the optional RS232 interface must be used (here up to 15 m line length possible).
